About Playlist For Life Help Point
Playlist for Life Help Point support is available during our Monday Meet Ups, every Monday afternoon from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Anyone living with dementia, their friends, family and carers are welcome to these free sessions. We will show you ways of tracking down songs which have special meaning or are just favourites, how to put together a playlist so you have it to hand whenever you want to listen to it, and tell you more about Playlist for Life and the many resources they have on offer.
If you have a device you can play music on, bring it along with you. Otherwise we will have iPads you can borrow during the session. Soft, comfortable headphones are also useful, but don't worry if you don't have any.
More than 20 years of scientific research shows that listening to a personal playlist can make living with dementia easier and happier.
Building a personal playlist means exploring someone's life story to gather the tunes that are most deeply attached to memories and emotions.
