About The Club
The Club runs from 12pm to 4pm on Thursday afternoons. Member share lunch, afternoon tea, activities and entertainment in a safe and stimulating environment. The Club is aimed at people in the early to mid stages of dementia and still living at home.
The Club is run entirely by our team of dedicated volunteers, who are skilled and experienced at engaging with those living with dementia. However, our volunteers are not carers and are unable to provide the kind of support or care necessary for those in the later stages of dementia. As one of our key aims is to provide respite to carers, and due to the finite nature of our volunteer resources, the Club is not open to those who are in residential care. Members entering respite care will be considered for continuing attendance during their stay on a case by case basis, though will always be welcome to return to the Club once their respite stay is over.
