Fundraise
We have a wonderful group of volunteers who organise fundraising events throughout the year, such as a Charity Pop Up Shop, Art Show, Fashion Show, and our Golf Day. Thank you to everyone who attends these events and gives so generously. If you fancy joining the fundraising committee, please get in touch.
There are also lots of other ways for you, a friend or family member to fundraise on behalf of Mearns Kirk Helping Hands - and have fun along the way!
You could take part in an organised event like our volunteer Joe Freedman did. He completed the 2025 KiltWalk- raising over £2k for us!
Or you could do your own fundraising, it doesn’t have to be an organised event. A bake sale, or sponsored skydive (for the brave!), a garden open day – the list of possibilities is endless! Finally, we want to make it as easy as possible to fundraise for Mearns Kirk Helping Hands. That’s why we’ve set up three online ways to help us - all super simple to use.

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for Mearns Kirk Helping Hands with easyfundraising?
There are over 8,000 retailers on board ready to make a donation – including eBay, Argos, John Lewis & Partners, ASOS, Booking.com and M&S – and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help us raise funds. All you need to do is:
- Go visit our easyfundraising page and join for free.
- Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.
- After you’ve checked out, the retailer will make a donation to Mearns Kirk Helping Hands at no extra cost to you whatsoever!
There are no catches or hidden charges and Mearns Kirk Helping Hands will be really grateful for your donations.

Glasgow Kiltwalk: 25th and 26th April 2026
Could you Kiltwalk to raise vital funds for Mearns Kirk Helping Hands? You can do a Wee Wander or challenge yourself with a Mighty Stride, walk on your own or with a team. Any way you choose to do it you are guaranteed a great day out with an amazing atmosphere.
Mearns Kirk Helping Hands is registered as a cause with the Kiltwalk, so if you do sign up you should see us as one of the charity options you can raise funds for. We want to support you every step of the way in your fundraising, so please get in touch with us and let us know you plan to walk for us. We can help you set up a JustGiving page and give you any other support you might need to let people know the amazing work you are doing on our behalf. And of course we will want to celebrate with you and say a big thank you once your walk is done!
